Rodney O’Neil Williams is running for District Judge to bring a wealth of experience, integrity, and fairness to the bench. With nearly 30 years of professional experience in law enforcement and legal practice, Rodney is committed to upholding justice and serving the people of Fort Bend County.

Fort Bend County, Texas - 240th Judicial District Court (January 2023 - Present)
• Appointed by the elected Presiding Judge of the 240th District Court.
• Presides over a wide range of legal matters, including criminal felony cases, civil suits, and appeals from lower courts.
State of Texas Judiciary Division, Richmond, TX - 268th Judicial District Court (January 2019 - January 2023)
• Managed felony criminal matters, complex civil litigation, and appeals from lower courts.
Fort Bend County Public Defender’s Office, Richmond, TX (February 2016 - December 2018)
• Handled criminal defense cases from intake through trial for indigent defendants, including pre-trial motions, voir dire, and trial advocacy.
Fort Bend County, TX (December 2000 - February 2016)
• General practice with a focus on criminal defense and civil rights violations. Represented clients from arraignment to trial, with additional work in family law and civil tort litigation.
